and this is what an arching ignition coil looks like

I mentioned in the Sunday ride that I lost a cylinder...and here is the culprit. I've never seen one of these before, figured others would appreciate this. :-)

Will contact Yamaha places tomorrow, or wind up ordering from Ron Ayers.

Got a set of three off of EK/eric....more than I need right now but you never know. Plus, felt bad piecing one off of him when he doesn't even have an r6 anymore!

well played, you sound like a stand-up guy. always take the hit, it will pay off down the line! especially when dealing with friends.

Thanks...it was my boyfriend's idea actually. I'm a girl by the way. You're not the first person to mistake me for a guy via leathers and motorcycles and what not. :-)

I thought you were a girl for some time, then I saw the above pic and concluded you must be a guy. There is no way that a girl lets her hands look like that. Maybe it was your BFs hands in the pic.

Good luck with the R6 coil fix....

Lol...not my boyfriend hand..friend bruce/tiller. He is always ready to help us in a pinch! We figured...yes, we including me...that it was something electrical. My hands have not ever looked like bruce's. You are seeing my bike grime and his day job combined. the most technical I've gotten is cleaning and adjusting carbs on an old ninja.
