Split the difference, go aprilia. You get the V and you get four cylinders.

Seriously, anyone giving the performance over looks is full of . None of us on this forum can ride either one of these bikes to their full potential. Unless some world superbike pilot is in here. For what that are used for in houston either is a great bike, so buy the one that speaks to your soul. 20 more horse, mas puto, as if we were qualifying for a gp race. Come on

Yeah his name is Allan and he crashed that very bike in a turn when he hit an armadillo and was LifeFlighted. Insurance didn't total the bike and decided to repair it. The leak could be related to that.

You don't have to be a WSBK rider to tell if the bike is fast or slow, doesn't take much of a skill to open the throttle wide open to measure performance between 2 or 3 bikes.

If you are talking about the handling, then yeah..... while some of us do try to ride the out of our bikes, we are very far when compared to WSBK riders, but also consider that all of them are using upgraded equipment ($25k suspension, better tires, full race/dedicated ecu, etc).

There is a good reason why KTM does not participate in WSBK.

Your missing the point. All I'm saying is that any superbike can perform good enough on the street. It takes and skill to get full potential of any of these period. Im obviously a euro brand fan period, but ktm has just as many titles as bmw in superbike, which is zero.

All Pachuco is saying is that pretty much NOBODY on MotoHouston can "out ride" a 600 class SS!!!!! Much less get near potential of a liter bike or 1190 or whatever!

I am going to go and agree with you here.. buy the bike that speaks to you, the purpose is fun and sik looks, you wont be winning any racing trophies with it.
Research insurance premium, maintenance costs, and comfort. Then if looks are not enough then flip a coin. Whichever bike you buy brand new today has the performance of a rocket, and the looks for everyone to appreciate.
Sit on them, get a couple of photographs on them and then compare.
