2001 929rr cbr lights dim when I hit throttle

I've noticed recently and right now it got pretty bad but everything starts dimming when I hit the throttle. I think it happens the most at high speeds. what's wrong with it? :( never had issues before its got like 12.5k on it

when I turn the key to turn it on everything is fine, starts right up doesn't slowly turn or anything. I'm going to ride a little more and see if it doesn't it at low speeds but it's def when I'm hitting the throttle at higher speeds and when the rpms are getting high

Not sure about your bike, but most fuses are under the seat! I don't have a truck, but let me know if you need further help.

I checked all the fuses, all of them are good. everything works perfectly except for the headlights. if the ONLY issue is the headlight, is that still possibly the stator?

If everything else is functioning but you have no head lights than it's probably not charging system related. It sounds like you've got an issue some where in the head light circuit.
It's a pretty common issue in some of the older Honda sport bikes.

I'll keep checking the wiring out some more, I took the fairings off on the right side of the bike to look over the wiring to make sure nothing was loose and everything looked fine on that side. I'm starting to lean more towards the voltage regulator/rectifier maybe? Ima have to go buy me a multimeter

While it's possible, if it was the R/R it wouldn't just affect the head light circuit.
If the bike still starts and runs with no issues than it's in the lighting circuit.

RESOLUTION

New bulbs, checked fuses. Nothing happend. took bike apart checking wiring and what not. I was messing with the cooling fan because it was bent against the radiator and it was stuck. had to basically kinda bend it out of place to be able to move freely. Turn bike on after that to test fan, head lights work.

if youve got HID LIGHTS check the ballast something might be wrong. when you hit WOT hid lights should intensify so check it grounds. if you were rolling on bad stator your battery would be dead by now. do you have HID ? stator charges cell like alternator

Nice... You can now go to the evening meets

May be a bad ground or loose connection... If you have it apart, may be clean up the connections and put some dielectric grease..

Im thinking its a bad connection or bad ground.. Im not amazing at finding electrical issues, but Im about to tear it apart in the front again.. i really really want to find the issue. The head light stopped working again, but it works sometimes when I first turn it on. Tony from house of paint helped me check to see if it was the stator and it looks like everything electrical is running fine on the bike. he told me its most likely a loose connection somewhere
