Question Local shop to rewind moto stator aka alternator?

Anyone know a place that can do a quality rewind and epoxy coat+bake my stator???????????????????????????????????

I am pretty sure my stator is bad.

Seems common for the versys after 30k miles. Pic is from the versysfourm. I have seen a dozen like it.

Mine has 34k and a couple track days.

Looks like a simple change from the service manual and I can find a new oem one online for about $150.

Funny, cause I think the stock Yusa battery outlasted the stator. I put in a new battery and it was trash in a month ( on commuter bike, ridden daily). New battery after that, voltage reading is 12.v-12.4 between terminals at idle and all the way up to 6krpm. I need to test it under load and have a moto voltmeter coming from aerostitch. http://www.aerostich.com/sale/20-off...tal-meter.html so I can watch it on the road.

not waterproof but we will see.

Comments/feedback welcome, thanks

PS, this is supposed to be an OEM "STYLE" stator for $140

but I think I want to avoid that. Good new one seems to be $200 plus...

yeah buy a new one, alotta places will give you a pro-rate or w/e whenever you give them your old one as a specialist type shop will end up rebuilding your old one, when they give you a new/rebuilt one.

When mine went on my Speed Triple it was about the same cost for a new one as to have one rebuilt. So get a new one
