Always wave back... they can't wave from in the car and it's just polite....

I've even had a few do it as I was passing them in heavy traffic....

I was a cop once too. Earlier today. Then I came home and put on some blue jeans and worked on my new Street Glide, put on some slammer shocks and LED lights.

I've got some pre-pics, and will start a thread when I have enough to make it interesting.

This bike is going to be very unique, but I don't want to give it away. I'm going to dump another ten grand into it.

i know some old cops that used to do that all the time.

but then i was taught by a senior officer to not ever do that - there's just so many things that can go wrong.

and the officer would be in hot water if he really wasn't making a justifiable stop.

it's kind of like paying a trick on one of your friend's friends - what happens if during this "jokingly funny" traffic stop, you'r friend's friend pulls a gun out and shoots at you, takes off in his car and slams into a family of 4 and kills them all !?!?

just too much drama that comes with "kind of" giving a stupid and arrogant warning by flashing using your police gear.

have i done it ?? yes.

.....but i didn't do it after it was explained to me.....

wish cops would have the foresight to think of this as they are mid hi-speed chase when this type of thing usually DOES happen.

Maybe I am missing your point but are you saying it is the police officers fault for a douche bag running?
