, truck pulled out in front of me. Crashed again!

At least the guy was nice enough not to run after I plowed into the side of his truck. And then he helped me load my bike up and gave me and my bike a ride home.
I was traveling north on Maxey rd. and a F-150 was coming thru a u turn on the other side of the intersection at Wallisville rd. I thought he was going to make a UTURN, and leave me at least part of a lane to pass by, not....

He creeped out real slow and by the time I realized he was cutting across my path to go to the store it was too late. I managed to get it slowed to about 10mph or so. And when we made contact he was taking up both lanes. If I had not got target fixated on him I may have been able to make the turn into the parking lot driveway, but that would have been iffy due to the uneven and steep incline leading into the parking lot.
I hit his front wheel and the of my bike came around and caved his passenger door in, then we both fell on the ground.
Anyway The front rim is toast. The upper cowl is cracked on both sides near the top of the windscreen. Fortunately I have an extra rim and cowl lying around. I'll just have to get them painted/powdercoated. Thank for the frame sliders, but both side fairings now have some minor scrapes up near the top/front and at least one of them has a couple of tabs broke that help to hold it all together. The brand new fairing kit and fancy paint job, that hasn't been on the bike for 2 weeks, isn't so fancy anymore, but it's really not that bad considering how hard the hit felt.

Other than feeling my head bounce off the fender of the truck I didn't feel a thing. No headache, bumps or sore spots that I can feel. I was wearing my cheap fulmer helmet, JoeR mesh jacket w/ all the pads in it, Sidi gaunlet gloves, and boots. And blue jeans.

ORielly Sucks.
At least the one near my house. The last three times I've went to them they have me by giving me the wrong parts. That's why I was out tonight. I bought a u joint from them earlier in the week and tonight while trying to install it I discovered it was the wrong part. I decided I was never going to buy another part from them. So I went to the Autozone and was one my way home with the right part.

If Owrongly had anyone who knew what the they are doing I wouldn't even have been on the road.

No I've thought about that. This will be the third time and the third time is supposed to be the charm. The last paint job lasted about 2 weeks too. The first new paint job the wheels had more green than the body. The second the body had more green than the wheels Maybe this time I can get it right and they will match. hah!

That sucks.. but good that it wasn't more serious. Is his insurance going to take care of you?

I stopped going to OReillys a year or two ago. Not the greatest customer service or price.

O'riley bought HiLo - and they were before AND after. Their rebuilt parts are horrible... But btw all the stores are identical except for the colors. They all carry the exact same - exactly - shelf by shelf.

You may have been able to turn in front of him into the parking lot, but then if you did, you may have wound up underneath him.

It was his fault, you walked away from it. Good on you. No second guessing.

No police unless absolutely necessary! I got all his info and since the damage is most likely under a grand. I'll give him a chance to pay out of pocket and keep the authories in the dark.
