What's it worth?

What would a 2005 crf250r be worth if the engine needed the head redone and maybe a piston. Considering selling mine. Can't get it started and the valves zeroed out quick, so when taking in some agua I think they got proper . Con rod didn't break or anything, just died and wouldn't start. Ran great before that. Carb is good and clean, stock exhaust, front suspension just redone with new seals, bushings, and o rings, brand new tires and plastics, brand new handguards, brand new pads, fluids all flushed with new. I have no idea what a fair price would be.

Put it on Craigslist for 800 and see what kind of response you get. It's free.

I guess I'll just part it out. I can get $500 for the front end and wheels.

It does suck. Just rebuilding the forks, all new plastics, new handguards, and new tires which all have one ride on them cost $600, and I'll be lucky to get $800 out of it if I sell it complete. Four strokes are freaking money pits. When looking at individual used part prices you would think that $800 would be fair but it doesn't seem to work like that.

Not much to look at. Tore it down to send the engine off. I'm going to throw it back together and I'll snap some pics tomorrow. Has brand spanking new chain and sprockets, new grips, new bar pad, seat just recovered too. Shame...after the engine is gone through it would be like a new bike. Already replaced everything else.

I want to do some work on the Triumph. It will cost about $1,200. If the CRF needs a new topend and head it will be about $900. It's one or the other. Buying a house, rebuilding the Husky, paying for a wedding, and getting my knee fixed this year. Both bikes aren't in the budget.

, you do have a busy year planned. Sell your front end to byrdnuts, he wants to do the xr650 conversion and I want him to be the guinea pig.

He can have the front end for $750 or the whole bike for $799.
