Actually - i'm talking about on an 06 R6. When i had my GSXR 1000, i could wheelie - just by twisting.

But i'm talking about my R6 right now, even with my old 05 R6 - i noticed the same thing, won't wheelie when i want to and will gladly come up when i'm just hauling .

I guess it's all about "committing"..i really don't care for the big high spped wheelies. I just want to be able to do slow < 10 mph wheelies..

Where you guys practicing nowadays? ASI?

In all honesty Drunk,

It really does'nt matter what 600cc bike your on, specially when your comparing between the 599cc GSXR and 599cc R6. They are both gonna wheelie - provided the rider can wheelie..

I still don't see your point, now if you were comparing the 599cc R6 with the 636cc ZX6r, then i would agree with you, those extra 37 cc might be useful - but between gsxrs and r6s, there's really no comparision. I mean your talking about a basic average rider trying to do a wheelie - not a pro, most likely its going to be the rider, not the bike.

What's so bad about the Yamaha's - any experience you had? Please share. I actully hated the way the 06 GSXR 1000 sat (nothing to do with wheeling).

I can power wheelie my roommates 04 R6, but I can't on my 06 R6. One of these days I will learn. I've seen others do it on theirs so I know it can. LOL

See if I can help you here....sounds like you are "popping" the clutch causing undo violence to your bike.....you need to "slip" your clutch...and be nicer to your baby !!! Don't let the clutch out so fast after giving it some gas...kinda let it out slowly and rev at the same time. Make sense ???

if anyone would just read... learning how fast and when to "let the clutch engage" is going to just take time on the saddle. call it what you wish.. i dump my clutch when i wheelie.. Sometimes i pop it, sometimes i slip it. sometimes i mouse trap the out of it.. just more of my .02 on the subject.
