Hepatitis at Pappasitos

Got this email at work. Thought id share it. Be careful at Pappasitos.

Good morning,

I am sure you have all heard about the hepatitis outbreak at Pappasitos on the north side. An employee came to work with hep and has now infected many people.
  • Sick Associates are not permitted to work!!!!!!!
  • Proper and frequent handwashing is non-negotiable.
  • We do not handle ready to eat product with out gloves!!
  • The single use gloves for the cooks will be available very soon, until then use the light flimsy gloves.
It is imperative that we ensure a very high degree of safety and sanitation for all guests and Associates!!!!

This must be a keen focus for all Managers to preach and follow up 14 shifts per week!!!

Thanks
KC

I thought the HACCP principles were taught to all food service personnel.
Dont they conduct a pre-shift inspection of all people to ensure that they are fit for duty.
I am certified in the Food Service and Safety Course thru the Quartermasters School Fort Lee, Virginia. That stuff is basic food safety.

Hope nobody else catches hepatitis

Drop a steak on the floor and if you get it off the floor before 3 seconds , its still good to go!! I had an employee tell me that before.. lol

yeah, sometimes ya gotta switch to the 10 second rule. lol. seriously though most places, especially corporately owned restaurants, are pretty clean. Aside from the local health department, they hire a private company to come in and do "inspections". I know Chilis for example has one, the company will fine them too for infractions. We also have in-house people to do ours.
