You going to cut the can. You can use a Dremel or a Sawzaw. Cut it and Re-Rivet it. Make sure to measure twice and cut once. Riveting is highly recommended. I've done this with a hole shot exhaust. You could rent the tools from auto parts store for $20-$30 bucks and only take 45 minutes. Depends on the inside of the pipe. See if you can find a diagram from the manufacturer of the inside of the pipe, so you cut the right side and don't cut out anything necessary. Could run into more issues doing it wrong. But Dremel with Short wheel to cut the can and long wheel to cut the inside. A drill ( probably 1/8" or smaller bit for the rivet holes) and a manual Rivet pop gun and some rivets.

That's only my 2 & 1/2 cents

Then again I am no professional on this topic just a DIY'r.

craig rr did mine...we took about 6 inches off and I regret taking that much off...it is annoying after about 30 minutes...I would only do about 3 or 4 (speaking from experience)....If you want craig to do it, he knows what he is doing...he did a good job on mine!!!!
