I have on my zx6r, 2011...but switched back...I know Coung has been using it on his 250 for a while. Gotta change it more often, so almost amounts to the same in cost.

And Cuong has trashed rings currently, hmmmm.
Not saying it's the oil, but I've seen tons of 250 Ninjas run as hard/harder than his and hold up.
Granted, there are a lot of people who use Rotella with no negative affects.
Imo, why not just stick to a good quality motorcycle specific oil, one that isn't high in detergents and anti soot additives?

Imo my engine isn't worth the few dollars saved.

Bike is a 77 KZ1000 48K Miles

I use Castrol 4 Stroke Motorcycle Oil,
In the summer I use 20W -50
in the winter like now it's just 10W-50
OH, Also it's the NON Synthetic oil.
My clutch use's the same oil as my engine seeing as it's one system.
Synthetic with any additives rip my clutch apart.

Getting the right gear and shaft oil for my griso requires feats of heroism and valor uncontemplated by man.

I ran it for about 10,000 miles on my 600rr. The only thing I noticed is that the shifting got rough after about 2500-3000 miles, and to me, I wasn't saving any money using it. It made more sense to use a quality oil like Amsoil and run 4-5000 mile intervals. I actually wouldn't be uncomfortable doing an 8000 mile interval (per manual) with Amsoil if my riding were tame.

The analysis done on it show that it wears very quickly, so again, you're not really saving money if you're changing the oil frequently.

On another note, a friend has used it for probably over 50,000 miles on numerous bikes of his. From his 1000rr to his Aprilia RSV4.

Ill continue using hp4 in that case, and switch back to moto oil next time on the sv.
I'm not sure what all of the sponcers charge for oil, but I do know that Bill Drake at Wild West Honda gives MH members a 20% discount on oil, and most everything. (Sorry for the run on sentence)

Motul 300V I have some info and numbers vs 22 other oils and it held up pretty good.

I used Rotella 6T for a good 10k mile on my FZ1. The best MPG I could ever get is 33ish miles. And then I switched to Mobil, I am getting 35 ~ 37MPG. Guess that tells something.
