grow up and you won't care what people think.

And I do where my knee and shin guards under the chaps when going moderate riding!!!

When its just a night on the town, the chaps will do. easy on, and easy off (that is if i'm not tryin to pull "skin")

I saw the kind of chics that dig chaps at Lonestar rally. reminded me of staring at the beef jerky case in schoelenbergs big red barn.

It sucks when the rash is on part of your skin that moves a lot. That looked incredibly painful. Brings back memories

Mesh Kevlar FTW. Got one of their jackets, and a pair of their pants, mid-summer. The mesh breaths like crazy, in the heat, and is 10 times stronger than leather.

The few injuries that happened: A broken right thumb, 4-5 stitches in my right knee, and road rash. I spent no more than 6-7 hours in the hospital and my bill was over $17K. I recommend health insurance to anyone that rides on 2 wheels.

I wasn't respecting the bike prior to my accident and I had it coming to me. Every rider is different, so don't let anothers actions get in the way of your riding.

The same thing would happen to me when I first began riding, and I'm still a noob. Every time I would see an ill picture/video/story I would hesitate about riding. That goes away after awhile, at least for some.

It really does. I began riding 1 month after my wreck, and even then I could not ride with my boots. I had to wait another 2-3 weeks before I could fit the boot over my foot, due to part of my ankle missing.

I've been wearing these on street rides since 08. Crash tested and mother approved.

If I'm not wearing those or leather I have on my A* knee and shin guards. I have a <$7000 tattoo I need to keep pretty.

I prefer the Icon knee/shin guards because they clamp on to the thighs but my thighs are too thick. So instead, I use A* which are fine and clamp on to the calves-only. They don't fit as close to the skin as the Icons probably do but they do the same job in the event of a crash. You can find them easily at CG or one of MH's sponsors...I know 2 Wheel Toys stocks them.

Also look into EVS...they offer a wider array of knee guards although they aren't as stocked at brick stores.

There was a really good/old thread on here on why we should wear knee guards, and because of that thread I always wear them when wearing jeans. Your knees are one of the first things that hit the ground if you're going down.
