You idiots and your claims of discrimination. Geez. That's how insurance works. It's all calculated risk. Don't like it? Don't own a high risk vehicle. We ALL know they see crazy claims all day everyday.

Insurance companies can quantify EVERY item that they use to determine your rate, it is not discrimination it is statistical analysis. That being said they should have a mechanism for applying human factor to rates, for example in this case they should be able to apply a discount so the rate increase is not nearly as much, but it just comes down to money. I always check rates from at least 3 different companies before I buy a policy.

have a house = discount

add to that:
credit rating = discount

Hey, get some leathers where the knees don't hang over the top of your boots, then maybe they won't overcharge you

i'm not sure what motorcycle insurance is based on, but i just got insurance on a bike for the first time and i was told multi-car doesnt qualify. i dont own a house. im single and 27 with good driving history. i was quoted $95 a month for full and $56 for liability. i took liability and called it a day. if you want my state farm agent's info, shoot me a PM.
