Rookie of the Year

I decided to ride to work a couple of weeks ago for the first time. Friday, perfect day to show off my new hotness I've been putting together. 4am wake up checked the weather, high 65 low 38 and in my best Carlton voice "its houston 38 is not really 38". ssshhhhiiiitttttt!!!!! 20 min ride and a pair of thin gloves and teardrops frozen to my face.

Now you tell me.....

Much appreciated. Top to bottom liners from cycle gear this weekend unless I find them cheaper elswhere.

Don't buy too much cold gear. You only have a few days left to use it.

For gloves I wouldn't go to extreme. My ride in is 30minutes on the freeway. I only use my gaunlet gloves that I wear doing trackdays in the summer. As far as teardrops go, if it's below 45 then nothing seems to help. Not closing the vents or putting in the breath guard or the chin thingy in that is supposed to slow the air turbulance inside the helmet. The only thing that will help the eyes is for me to ride my cruiser that has a full windscreen.

Tears were because I kept foggin up, vents open or closed didn't matter. All i could do was crack the visor. I did layer a thermal and an under armor cold top so it wasn't too bad but my hands were done.

Man I was glued to the coffee maker when I got to work.
