Legal "Golf Course" Minibiking this Sunday

Sugar Hill Golf Course, long out of business, is in the process of being turned into a mixed use ATV / dirt bike facility, YES!!!!!.

This Saturday night we are taking "duh bus" bus over to the location and having some food and drinks and sleeping in the bus over night. Sunday morning we will help the new property manager mow the weeds off the sides of the concrete trails and get them ready for minibike action. Sunday afternoon we'll tear it up like we used to in 2009 and 2010.

For those who may not know about the golf course, check out these old threads. There is like 1 mile of paved trail and lots and lots of free land with hills and jumps and fun stuff. It is built on an old dump site and has a lake, hills, and rolling land uncommon in Houston. And it's located within 10 minutes of BW8 and hwy 59 south. Fun for sure:

YESSSS

I've drove by there at least a handful of times, wondering what they were going to do with the place. I haven't been there since 2009, I think? We used to get inside from Cook st.

I think it's open, but you have to call for an appointment. I'll post the operator's info when I get it. I missed this last week.

Concrete trails should be open and maintained for whatever you choose to take out there.

It is. Winding road, elevation changes, 50MPH top speeds. It is an absolute hoot. Just one loop of the trail took like 2:00 mins. If we patch it all together into a super loop for time trials, we're looking at like 12:00 minutes of continuous hauling .

Old map...disregard. The old owner let us play there as long as we avoided his helper in the clubhouse.

New owner invites us to hang out at the clubhouse any time!!!!

Bissonnett at South Kirkwood, and the clubhouse is on Bissonnet on the south side of the property.

For anyone without a bike, just come out and check it out and hop a ride on someone's play bike. No one cares.

We'll have the 40' "party limo" bus too with tunes and cold drinks all night and day parked somewhere up front starting at 8 or so.
