What did you do to your bike today?

Looked at it in the garage. Thought " I wonder if that will even turn over?" Shut the door

Took the primary off and threw some lock tite on a bolt that came loose. Tomorrow I'll throw on another gasket and bolt it back up.

It's one thing when bolts come loose on the outside of the Harley but internal, man that sucks

Thats badass.

You know what...Im pretty sure you and I were standing next to each other at Motorcycles Unlimited on Friday. I should have introduced myself. I had a dinner party at my house Friday and my head was focused on my closing window of time.

Adjusted my front and rear suspension. Not so convenient on a bike from the 20th century. Awhile back, I made a handy tool to compress the fork spring to make the job easier. 3/4" washers make good shims.

Which bolt was loose? I've got a '05 1200 C sporty, could I run into the same problem?

Maintenance Monday

I personally installed a radiator guard myself. =D
Hands dirty, elbow grease everything. Oh, i also cleaned a bunch of grime off the wheels. Yucky.

But before that....

My dear friend/mentor, cleaned n lubed chain, tightened chain slack n some bolts n nuts or something, took off the orange reflector thingies, removed ninja decals, octane sticker on gas tank n 2 other stickers. I tried to pay attention while he was teaching me but i kinda just sat pretty taking pics n sipped on wine.

it's a harley. more over it's a sportster. can't tell you how many times i have had the primary off, the clutch out, the shifter linkage undone etc etc.

Took some serious wrenching lol

Not really, but it gave me a reason to open the garage and let the bike get some fresh air

Measured ring gap the other day. Way over the suggested gap but should be good. At least I won't have to worry about the rings butting up against each and I'd be totally safe for boost I'd just have to worry about oil blow by and doing a proper break-in Will probably have the motor back on the bike today. Still need to order the case cover gaskets though...
