bro got a ticket and paid it....

Dumbass didnt even think to take defensive driving to keep it off his record.

Since he paid it today Dec 26th...is there anyway that he can take defensive driving and still keep the ticket off his record, or is he fukd.

He's 22, got a 70 in a 60 over the Fred Hartman Bridge 2 weeks ago in La Poprte...paid ticket in La Porte.

Taking defensive driving and fighting it are totally different things.

He's was dumb for not asking about defensive driving, he hasn't had a ticket in over a year so he should be eligible...his money not mine.

I made the same mistake once. Got a ticket in May 2010, decided just to pay it. My insurance costs is still being affected because of this.

Overall, with the cost of the ticket plus the increase in insurance costs, I think the ticket has costed me about 1k.

Hopefully his experience is different than mine.

read closely....

Write a letter to the court he was assigned to, stating how he will lose his job because of the points in his license, the court has the power to have the ticket off his record, he just have to have a very big cause why the court will need to do this for him.. child support, lost wages, his company won't pay for his school anymore.. so on and so on.. the letter has to go to the judge and it has to be approved by him so they can send a request to austin to keep the ticket off his record. good luck bro
a speeding ticket is 2 points in his license, I suggest he gets on with begging the court to keep it off his background

LPPD has been cracking down HARD on people speeding through the area...I suggest everyone slow down and monitor your speed through the area as these guys are out on a daily basis.

so you're saying that defensive driving doesn't work . . . or at least it's not working on you. is it just another wasteful government program?

I pay my lawyer $150 and the ticket goes away. No court, no DD, no points on license.

No bikes right now. :(

If it is within 10 days, the case is still open. Go to the court and ask for a new trial. He may have to write a description of why he should be given a new trial. If that fails then file an appeal to the county courts.
