I bought my first bike in 1995, a '95 CBR 600 F3. Bought it from Stubb's and had it trailered home. After about a week, I was riding it on 610 and 45.

1980 Yamaha Exciter SR250. Red just like this one. Bought it with $500 of mostly borrowed money the summer I graduated HS. Paid it back by working at the snackbar at the same HS. At $5/hr, it took all summer. Had no money for even a helmet. That was the only time I ever rode without gear.

93 Suzuki VX800. Same hideous purple, but it was cheap and I learned how to rebuild and sync carbs and other basic motorcycle maintenance.

From that point on I still continue to own "naked" bikes.
