Almost forget to add the quote of the day,
(this came from a redneck hillbilly driving a butane truck 15 mph below the posted limit)

after we had already been stopped, this guy pulls into the gas station like 5 minutes later and runs up to the cop and says, "Give these three guys speeding tickets, they must have passed by me at 90 mph"

I was one of the 3! We thought we were done for when we came around the corner at 80 and there he was. Then all of a sudden he was gone. Guess he wanted yall more. No worries! We got our going into Montgomery. Got a ticket for passing a stopped car at the first light out of the forest on the right. Then the lady cop said she was sorry for ruining our day! Just wrong

They are OUT on weekends.

Well......it could have been worse. I was fixing to start calling and making arrangements to get you out of jail when I looked up and he had you on the car patting you down
We better start staying on the other routes

I had a great ride. Sucks that you boys got tickets.
i've been pretty lucky around those areas, but it's gotten ridiculous in the forest. Even the HD/Cruiser guys have been getting cited left and right. I think if you use a little common sense, you can still do some good riding as long as you know when to behave.

No it was city cops. Ross passed a truck in a no passing zone right in front of the cop. I can understand a ticket for that. But I went around a stopped truck. Nothing unsafe about that! It really bothered me that she apolagized for giving the ticket, but still gave it.

the cops only got bad on 149 after a cops (i think pct 4 or sherriff) son died up there on his bike...goin around a turn and side swiped an suv. before that it was fine. i havent been up there in awhile. i even heard a rumor that the park ranger has swerved in front of bike and thrown his door open at them.

as vindictive as cops can be, id not be suprised about that. sucks about the guys death, but does that mean we all have to pay for one guys mistake? i guess it does.
