No, the news was being conservative. He passed my apt and that definitely sounded like 150.

No kidding... you don't want to get shot, don't run from an armed officer.
If you are running, they will assume you have a good reason.... and that they should stop you.

Shooting at cars is usually done In an attempt to disable the vehicle. Seems a bit excessive to shoot at a bike stolen or not

where did you get that, the part where you decided that shooting at cars is for the purpose of disabling the car and not to stop the flight? who told you that cops are shooting at the car and not the driver? and how do you know that the cop was not shooting to disable the bike? i see nothing excessive in shooting at a runner, car or bike.

Word, I was riding one day, going to work back from lunchbreak. I was a little late and there was a rolling roadblock up ahead. As soon as I had room, I dropped a couple of gears and squirted by. I think I hit 120mph, as soon as I dropped the throttle I check my mirror, it was full of Harris County Constable. I immediately pulled over, cut the ignition, flipped my visor and calmly waited for the punishment.
The Constable:
"Thank you for not running. If your license checks out, I"ll let you go with a warning"

I got a warning for failure to use my signal. Cops aren't all douches, and always pull over for them.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A motorcyclist eluded state troopers for more than 20 minutes before being shot in the leg this morning.

The chase started in Chambers County and ended near South Post Oak and Brookston in southwest Houston.

Troopers say they tried to pull over the motorcyclist for traffic violations, but he refused to stop.

The motorcyclist allegedly reached speeds over 100mph and went more than 30 miles with troopers in pursuit.

One trooper had to drop out of the chase because he was running out of gas. Another trooper took over and eventually opened fire.

The motorcyclist was hit in the leg.

He said he ran because he was driving on a suspended license and did not want to go to jail.

Texas Rangers are investigating the case.
