COP SHOOTS MOTORCYCLIST

Just saw this on ch 13 news. 6 am "DPS TROOPER SHOOTS MAN"
DPS trooper chases motorcyclist from Hwy 99 (way out west of Houston, Chambers county) and chases him to S Post Oak and shoots at him 4 times and hits him in the leg. One trooper ran out of gas and another trooper took up the chase. Motorcyclist reached speeds up to 100 mph.

The shooting is under investigation.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE IT SEEMS IF THEY CAN NOT GET YOU TO STOP THEY WILL START SHOOTING AT YOU!!!!!! WTF

Couldn't have happened to a more deserving rider. Hope his health insurance covers gunshot wounds received while committing a crime.

why turn a traffic ticket into a major issue? There simply is NO justification to run from a traffic stop. If you get stopped, be polite, take your ticket and move on...even if you think you are being stopped unjustly, you are not going to win on the side of the road, you might win in court... take your chances where you have a chance.

Wonder if having a hole in his leg helped with wind aerodynamics. Bet he was able to go just a little bit faster

As they should! If they shot more people for doing like that maybe it wouldn't happen as often.

Or people would push the limits more when running do to they know they will get shot. no reason to risk innocent lives even more. Yes the responsible people will stop, but the others who just dont care will push it harder.

A high school friend of mine is an SGT with HPD and I asked him at a get together how he handled that and he told it to me like this. "If someone on a motorcycle runs when I attempt to pull them over, I turn my lights off and radio it in. Three things happen when you chase a motorcycle, and none of them are good."

^^^ this is smart, don't put others (traffic/pedestrians/etc..) in danger
other cops are not so smart.
there's no point in running, you ride a bike, you can afford full coverage and the responsibilities that come with it, take it like a man and don't put others in danger.

why in the world would someone run from the police?

fun, no license, drugs, murder? sounds like they are currently going against society's norms. so society is fighting back. sounds normal.

If the NRA were to make a press statement about this, they would say, "arm all motorcyclists, they need to be able to defend themselves against police agents!"
;-)

My best friend got pulled over 4 years ago, and the cop told him " I was hoping you would run, I wanted to see if I could catch you".
