Spartan Leathers

I just got an off-the-rack charge two piece suit from them, and I'm pretty impressed! The fit is good, and the quality is beyond what I expected. The leather feels broken in out of the box, and the stitching and materials are top notch. The leather really impresses, it is more supple than an alpinestars jacket that has seen more than 7k miles!

I've bought major name brands up till now, but for leather goods I'm going to send my money to Spartan in the future. The suit top cost me $225 and blows my similarly priced alpinestars jacket out of the water.

I bought a size 42 and it fit a little snug on the chest and a little loose in the waist. This is pretty much what I expected, so there are no surprises with the listed measurements.

Trackdays here I come!

I know someone that test crashed custom Spartan leathers quite a few times
They hold up real well and have plenty of life left

Good to hear that you found leathers within budget
Now there is no excuses not be at the track

I have not test crashed mine but I love them. I got the custom single piece suit because I have freakish measurements!

I have crashed mine times. You're totally right that its top notch. I was going to get next year's suit from them but their custom line is limited and I don't have enough imagination to make it not look like my current suit.

Congrats on your new learhers! Hope they server you well.

Ive also been looking at their leathers. From the reaearch I've done and the reviews I've read, like yours, they seem to sell a quality suit at a resonable price, by cutting out the middle man and expensive advertising. The only negative to me was the off the shelf suit was only available in one color, but i guess that's also a cost saving strategy.

Order an off-the-rack suit to get your fit, then return it and order one with custom colors. It only adds $30.

I don't have a suit from Spartan (yet) but I do have a set of their gloves, and like said about the suits, they felt broken in out of the box. I crashed tested a set in a highside. The edge of the slider on the palm did come loose when the stitching wore through in the impact, but the full length palm leather was not compromised.

Then I even talked to the owner about the damage. He wanted me to send the gloves back to see the damage and look for possible improvements and sent me a new pair for half price. And he's on the SV forums so that means he's a good guy right there.

right now seems like a good time to buy a set too...clearing out last years models with 200 bucks off... a decent set of new leathers for $400 is a pretty good deal.
