if you are going to put the bad mouth on a shop, common sense says not to do while they still have your bike...
when you get the bike home, trailer it don't ride it... flush all the fluids... check settings and adjustments, tighten everything... before you ride it... a skilled tech, who has been insulted and accused knows lots of ways to bring a slow death to your bike... he can cost you money down the road...he can shorten the life span of the motor big time... it will last long enough to not be associated with him at all...you know, some bikes are just lemons and others get help becoming lemons....just go ahead and put that up on CL now...

Call up yamaha USA corporate, and let them know what is going on. Explain that you are worried that the shop may have done something to sabotage your bike, given your history with them. They'll make it right. Usually works out in the end when you go to the top of a major corporation

Is it worth it to go on the 'net and blast their reputation? The tech took a vacation day, he could have been planning this for months and is preoccupied (maybe he is asking his GF to marry him, who knows?) and wanted to make sure the respray on your rim has time to cure and is done right.
While you worked there, did the receptionist have a clue as to what was going on in the back? Are you certain the one they have now was hired for her brains or for being the cute daughter of the manager/owner?
C'mon, there's way too many variables here now, especially now that you've admitted that you really have no actual proof that you are being over.

FWIW I have been to Katy Yamaha for service on a bike, the last time was in 1999 to rebuild a brake caliper on an '81 XJ550, so any perceived loyalty is not a factor.
What would you do if they told you that they lost your bike and they couldn't help you find it? I already went down there and got my bike, and they apologized. For some reason the bike was in the shop but no one could see it...? I don't know if that makes any sense.

Well for one thing I wouldn't blow up their on Facebook and a major local web forum. If noone could confirm the bike was there, and after calmly explaining the situation to the manager (you did speak with him before going off the deep end, right?) and he couldn't figure out what was going on, then I would have a serious issue. However, if the manager offered some method of recourse, by contacting the tech directly and getting you the information that you need which is likely because he doesn't want this kind of press about his service shop, and maybe even a discount for some service or parts in the future, then I would be satisfied.
If I was you, I would go through that bike with a fine tooth comb as others have suggested. Also, take deep breaths before using the internet.

you got to realize that they have a such amount of employees and the ladies up front ussually dont know anything about whats going on, they answer phone calls. The service writer and the tech should know, not the sales manager, not his department. As for them playing around on others customers toys isnt right, sounds like mancuso. They should have replaced your wheel instead of do a touch up job. At least you got your bike back.

That's the way to go. The scratch probably came from reinstalling the wheel. HoPD takes good care of my wheels when I get new rubber.

A co-worker of mine had nothing but trouble with this shop after he took his bike in for repairs. TheysSaid it would be 2 weeks, they ended up having the bike for 5 weeks, didn't tighten the hi-way bars down so they rattled, and scratched the paint on part of the bike. A few other things were messed up as well.

I think most would be happy for a new coat of paint/powder coat.
If I owned a shop, I would not buy a new rim.

Nothing wrong with the rim, just the coating
