Bike damage from tow truck

Are tow trucks liable for damages to your bike when they tow it? They scratched the paint on the fairings and put a small dent in the tank.

I had a custom painted bike they towed. Scratched the our of it, cracked the plastic and broke the brake lever. The guy flat out told me tough . And the manager is a friend - - was a friend. It still cost me the full fee to get it outta hock and then I had to repair the damages.
They just pick yer up and get it off the street same as a garbage man.

File a claim with your insurance company if you have full coverage

Pardon my french.... I FUCNKIN hate those bastards...

I had my car towed from one of those lots, where you put the money in a slot for the parking place you parked your car..

I parked my car, placed the 5 dollars in the slot for where my car was parked, walked the 4-5 blocks to the see the Art Car Parade. After the parade, walked back to find another vehicle in my slot... I called the police and they came after about an hour. Prior to them showing up, some guy can and told me that my car had been towed... I am pretty sure he worked for the tow truck driver...

I was .. and still a little to this day....

If I had stiffed the parking lot, I would have been , but not as . I mean I paid the lot and yet they still towed my car..

The police would do nothing.. 4 hours later and almost $300 later got my car back and went home...

I called the tow tuck owner and the parking lot owner and got nothing.. no return call m nothing.. cheating bastards..

You can always take them to small claims court as someone who is being paid to take care of your property has a legal standard of care obligation.

+10000 i had a brand new 350z that i parked on one of the parking lines in my apt garage. It was towed and when I got it back it had a big scratch on the front fender. I ened up paying to get that fixed also.

You don't have to get out the way if they're driving, but you have to give them clearance if they're working under the direction of a police officer, or have their DOT approved lights flashing.
