New KZ Owner from Victoria

I'm new to MotoHouston. I've got a couple '78 KZ1000s that I want to sink money into and am wondering if anyone out there has had experience with this bike before. I found a link to a company that makes extended swingarm kits that I'm interested in buying and I want to modify/upgrade the engine.

I'd appreciate any and all advice. Thanks !

excellent bike, i rode my buddy's KZ650 back in the late 80's and then when he upgraded to the KZ1000 i also rode it, love the exhaust tone, this was right around the time that movie "Mad Max" was showing!

You can do so much with that bike. I built a 1428 about 15 years ago. Crazy bike. Gorilla big block. 18" slick...and kick start....those were my street racing days...Looked like , but ran pretty quick.
