stripped oil pan thread

i stripped the threadding for my oil plug. what can i do for a quick fix. i have a trackday tomorrow. helicoil?

yeah im i was using a torque wrench and tighened it to specs and next thing i know it stripped. F00K ME!

they make a plug called a butterfly plug. Get one at autozone... its temporary though. Run new threads when you get a chance

tomorrow check in is at 7 and trackday starts at 830, autozone opens at 730 so i am going to fix it, add oil, and go to henderson

Just pick one up on the way and bring your oil. You should be fine but seriously running new threads wont take long. Just find someone with a tap and die set
