Talking Sooo.... I have my M license!

I took my MSF course at Awesome Cycles on the 8 & 9th of this month and passed that class!

Today I had time after I took my last final so I went to the DPS office, took my computer exam, passed it and received my temporary paper license!

I don't think that I'm street ready just yet though, I feel like I need more practice in an empty parking lot before I get on the street!

Try around the neighborhood! You're going to want to get out after the first 10 mins, trust me! If only you lived closer to the west side, I can help you practice

I guess that I'll try that out :P
I suck at U turns and I was stalling the out of the practice bike because every time that I hit the brake, I didn't hit the clutch...

I need to improve on my breaking as well.... I'm not that bad at breaking, but it could still improve a good amount haha

This whole concept of driving with a clutch is so foreign to me, but it's so fun too! At least more fun that just putting the bike on drive...

have fun. If your stalling like that spend more time in a parking lot and play around. you dont want to get to a 4way stopsign and freak out with cars all around you.
just take your time and have fun with it. let us know when your ready for a nood ride. or post up asking for someone to meet up with ya for a spin around the hood when your ready.

Congratulations! take your time and learn to ride on the street at your own pace but make sure you invest in some protective gear before you start to ride on public roads.

Well towards the end of the class I wasn't stalling anymore... ok maybe I stalled once but I do need more practice regardless...

As soon as I get this bike up and running I'll just ride around the neighborhood for a while.

The Fule Petcock Valve was bad, ordered a new one and replaced it.
Clean out the carbs which were nasty as ...
Ordered a new windsheild

As for what I know what's wrong with it so far...
  • Needs new tires
  • Needs new battery
  • Front tire is stuck
  • Needs oil change
  • Needs new front blinkers

It might need other stuff done to it as well, but after I get the stuff fixed I'm going to take it to a mechanic to check it out and see if they can find anything else wrong with it...

Congratulations buddy!

Figure 8's are your friend
Do you have someone to observe you while you ride?

Looks like you'll be having more hours on the engine than riding!

Haha maybe, but either way it got really cold right now and I wouldn't want to ride at the moment

You're in luck
There are tons of north side riders
Just ask and they'll help you out

It's an advantage to have someone with you so they can observe, critique, and polish your skills
Also,if something does happen you wont be by yourself
You'll also gain a riding buddy in the process

win-win-win situation
Stay safe and dont hesitate to ask any questions =)

Yea I started talking to this guy albertinhouston from the forum here. He said that he'd help me out but I've been way to busy with finals lately... but I just took the last one today so I should be free some more...

Anyone else want to help me out that's on the north side as well?

Careful, that is one very hot bike for a beginner...throttle control is crucial....smooth and coordinated is the way to go...
