Any word on this shop?

Moved to the Heights and close to this shop. Can anyone tell me anything about them? What kind of bikes to they sell- meaning crappy, older, late model. How is the service, friendly Azz wipes??? I'm asking for a couple of reesons. As a source for parts and ii'm even tossing around the idea of a part time gig there. Like I said its about 6 small blocks from my house.

TIA

+1. sell MVA i believe.
For future reference I would not use the terms azz wipes, crappy and then toss around the idea for a gig in the same breath. One other thing is the most employers want to give someone a job, not a gig. But that is just me.

you must be talking about the shop i believe is on Shepard, not far from kroger.

they only sell used bikes. and from what i've seen, its been mostly older stuff.

I'm not to impressed with them.

Albert, you aren't far from my workshop. I haven't been to Houston Motorcycle Exchange but always wondered what they do there. I'm going to check them out next time I need something.

i've walked in to Houston Motorcycle Exchange many times to look at their used inventory. They have always been friendly to me stepping into the doors, and they always have bikes attractively placed in their lot out front. I even had a buddy that lived in a trailer in their parking lot for awhile.

Being the type of person that does most of my own work, I wouldn't use them; whereas, I would certainly call Andy at Metric to service my needs. Andy has done great work for me in the past.

I think any moto-gig would be a fun one. If I were to choose between working at the two, I'd certainly choose Andy to learn from. I'd love to be educated about machining and suspension from him.

Welcome to the Heights!

The folks over at Houston Motorcycle Exchange are really friendly and cool. I really don't know much of anything else other than that. I think they service the police bikes since I always see them there. I work down the road.
