If you are looking for a straight track bike then the I 4's might make more sense. But there are in my opinion intangibles that make my V twin a better STREET sport bike. For instance my low end torque gives me the same thrill going from 0-85mph that can only be found going 100 plus on an I 4. This is strictly my opinion however. The roar from my exhaust and the fact that it doesn't look like every other bike out there sets my V twin apart.

That's where Romeo36 and Godsuki have two different point of views.
Romeo sees rider as the fundamental and Godsuki sees bike as the fundamental in this two different bike (V-twin/I4) comparison.
Since this is about the machine, not the rider, I have to agree with Godsuki.
But Romeo36's right about rider's the most important performance part in any other occasion.

^^^^^ hahahahaaa basically its rider preference. low end torque is good for the street. high hp is good for the track. and dont believe every thing you read in magazines or online go ride em and find out for yourself which one you like better. but then again im pretty sure that the bike that holds wsbk championship is a v twin and moto gp a v5

I have both and like them both in different reasons.
Heck I like any two wheels go faster than 30mph.

pff my . twins are easier to ride because they put the power to the ground
instead just spinning it up

i ask this because supposedly the rc is equevalent to the 750s.
It's all up to the rider man... last year at the CMRA Mock Race I was in the 2nd row on my F4i and I was the 2nd one to T1. A dude on a black R1 smoked us all. :laughing6

I found this on Superbikeplanet.com...

"Exclusive Features
- The RC51 ram-air engine is engineered to dominate Superbike competition.
- Prodigious power is produced across a broad engine-rpm band, peaking with 130 bhp at 9500 rpm and 71 lb./ft. of torque at 8000 rpm in street-legal trim. "

RWHP is around 118 HP.........pulls hard from about 5500 RPM. And your pretty much done at 9500 RPM. The Ducati 999 would spank it all the way around.
