Griso is not about getting from A to B, but how you get there

I ride a sport-tourer and do the stuff you're talking about. I have lots of wind protection and the bike is rock steady at very high speeds. I don't even get the buzzy hands feeling after long rides. It works GREAT for rides back and forth to Austin. I haven't done many days above 300 miles but for anything up to that it is very comfortable. The only thing it doesn't have is dedicated luggage, but that's an aftermarket thing - not a "new bike" thing.

I think it's actually MORE comfortable than many cruisers I've ridden (where I start to get weird pressure sensitivity and arm soreness after just 30 miles or so).

High risers, ape hangers, or do you have a nerve problem? Soreness after 30 miles just doesn't sound right.

Just for kicks, what color is it??

A while back, I was seriously considering the Guzzi Breva 1200 Sport. It has the same basic frame as the Norge, so you can get Guzzi OEM panniers that are pretty good size. Earlier this summer, Gulf Coast BMW/Triumph had an used '08 with OEM saddlebags, and so I tried my XL Shoei X-11 and it fits inside. Even comes with a nice little bikini screen. With bags, it'll make a nice tourer.

I saw whole bunch of them on fleabay some months back. Not recently.

Thinking about a MG Griso...checking out owner comments on a Guzzi forum...

Saw you questions and replys on wild goose. Here is my thoughts on the Griso as a sport tourer.

It's small gas tank about 120 miles is by tourer standards low. However, I have found that the saddle is not comfortable and after 2 hours I'm ready to get off to ease the pain in my . I have a 32 inside leg, any shorter and I would struggle at stops with both feet on the deck. Not that the bike is tall, just that the saddle is wide.

Truthfully with all the above said, I love my Griso. However, I am a sprinter by nature, not a marathon man and ride it as such.

Two problems:

I would need a seat that doesn't make me have to change positions every few minutes. I think that can be solved.

I have fairly wide shoulders and long arms. Ordinary cruiser bars put my wrist in an uncomfortable angle. That, combined with how much one has to hold on to the bars given all the wind blast = very sore arms and wrists. I can't just rest my hands on the bars like I do on the Big Tuna.

Mark,

Thanks for your valuable comments on the Griso. The bike is on my radar. Seat width could be fixed perhaps with a change out. I hope to sit on one soon.
