Really sucks what happened and he is lucky to be in as good as shape as he is in. Could have been much worse.

From what I was told happened, it could've been any of us. An unpredictable and inattentive cager created a hazard that resulted in a collision.

What a day huh?!?!

Laurence is now at the hospital been checked up. I took home to take care of the bike. He's doing alright and as we all know it could have been worse.

For those of you who don’t know here is what happened.... the red car was been passed by 6 of us before this happen and it went down so fast!!

I was right behind Laurence when I was waiting for him to make the pass at 55 MPH; the red car then decided to make a left turn out of nowhere and slammed on his brakes then got on the left lane while Laurence was passing him. Laurence try to avoid the collision so he try to swing back to the right lane while the red car was still turning, at this point I was hoping he miss the car by that one hair but it was too late. Laurence hit the right corner of the car and went flying, bike exploded into pieces once it hit the back of that bumper.

I gave myself some room for him to make the pass and I was able to avoid running him over while he was tumbling around the floor and the car making that left turn.

Laurence and all the other riders who were passing were doing a legal pass and the speed limit its 55mph so the only thing that could have prevented this from happing would have been for that driver to give himself that 100 yard when putting a turn signal as well as using his turn signal then if he would have tapped on his brakes letting us know he was slowing down and was coming to a stop.

There was no warning or any way we would have known he was going to turn left.

The funny thing was that he was way passed that drive way where he wanted to turn so it was a last minute decision.

Wear your gear guys... you never know what could happen. They don’t call it accident for no reason.

No. there is no reason... this is what they call an "ACCIDENT" there is no reason to talk about it.. accidents happen on the streets or at the track.
He had all his gear so was ablet to walk away with minor injuries.
