I honestly think the Duc is way better.

Glad you said it and not me to seem bias. But the DD is seeming to be a great bike once the fueling issues are corrected. Can't find many for sale in the country, period

I liked the original hypermotard's looks a lot more. High pipes with a single sided swingarm is the most pleasing to my eye. Also the factory bar-end mirrors were nice.

Ducati seriously needs to get away from the intake/front fender combo they have going with the multistrada and hypermotard though.

The bar-end mirrors on the old Hyper were nice... but almost useless because of vibrations. Add to that the difficulty in modding them without changing the handgaurd... which had the turn signal in it. I'm betting the new bike is easier all around to get how the rider wants... unless they don't want to mod anything.

Never warmed up to the adv tourer style, especially the beak, made even more ridiculous on ones like this with a front fender already.

Not made for us vertically challenged anyway.

The Hypermotard is a tall bike. No way I (5'7) could even consider riding one without lowering the suspension... even with a carved out seat with no padding (I've tried). I'd be very edge of tippy toes.

Really isn't that BIG of a bike though...

It's the under seat gas tank that keeps the seat so high.

More than the underseat gas tank, the increased ground clearance requires jacked up suspension and longer travels. Mostly goes to waste if you don't ever go off road, but it does allow for a very compliant ride and bump absorption.

There seems to be longer wheel travel but Ill be damned if I take a $13k+ bike with forged wheels off road. My Dorsoduro is tall and looks like it has suspension travel but its still a bit stiff.

I actually like the multistrada but its a lil too adventurous looking for me. I think this hyperstrada is a great mixture. Didnt care for the Hypermotard either...rode it at GSS and it was not for me....

i love the Multistrada...but this hyperstrada might be fun with 80lbs less...not as much power either but prolly more nimble

Holy , That is a tall seat. I bought one that had an aftermarket seat at on it, looks like it could be as much as a few inches lower than that one.

So tempting! I'd like to see it with some other luggage options, maybe a topcase and color matched panniers. I too wish they offered a spoked wheel option.
