Let me get this straight - you want a drop down list with all the available formats (currency, text, number, etc). Then when the user selects the format it formats the whole column with the selected format?

Do a search for Create a drop-down list from a range of cells. Basically, create a list and then validate them

See, that's where i'm lost. I was needing to consolidate so many cells into a drop-down tab, so that when the user select's that tab and that tab only it will show just that list inside that tab.....

If list is in the same worksheet
1) Select the row or rows that will have the dropdown
2) Go to Data >> Validation
3) under settings, select List under allow:
4) under source, select all the records that will be in the dropdown
5) Click OK

Hmmm...not too sure of what you mean by name of list. I mean, are you saying name the list for what the tab is going to be called? Here's a pic to help out too....

So you want all this in a new tab? By 'tab' you mean the tabs that I'm pointing to here?

It can be done, i will need more specific info. I am flying to Atlanta in a few, back Friday if you want i can help friday. You can only have a dropdown per list, and a list can only be a set or columns or rows not rows AND columns but there are ways around it. I can set a live meeting and see your pc from here but i can't right now, have to pack and head to the airport, plus i am supposed to be working this morning LOL

It's cool. If possible...I will bring a copy of this in with me via memory stick and if anyone wants to set up a meeting to where they can show me, that would be great.

Denhou: Nope, that's not what i'm looking for. I'm meaning create drop-down tabs on the upper left column.......:dontknow:
