Post my gsxr lost its bite... :-(

I have a 06 Gsxr 750. About 3 weeks ago I noticed a lag in acceleration. When you hit the throttle the rpms go up but wheel speed does not match. It happens is all gears. I can't power or clutch wheelie because the power isn't getting to the rear wheel when I'm on the throttle. I can ride just fine just no hard acceleration. Any ideas?

This is going to sound strange but you haven't bypassed your clutch switch have you?

How can your RPS's go up but wheel speed not (unless your clutch is engauged or your compression is zilch)

I know. I'm just not feeling like telling him his dip operation led to his loss of power. We have almost all done it. Most of us are just smart enough to know why our is broken.

Clutch wheelie? What's that? Power that up with throttle only. Yea sounds like your clutch is toasty. Replace clutch, bike fixed.

Its an easy DIY project that should cost less than 200.00 to fix. Then you will be doing clutch up wheelies like a champ again.
