Ride Smart GSS and Eagles Canyon update

Ridesmart March 3rd at Grand Sport Speedway and March 24th Eagles Canyon Race way will be postponed due to track development schedule.
Because of the weather, tracks couldn't make it to the day.
These days will be rescheduled, so stay in tune folks.
Those who already signed up for the day, just contact Jason at ridesmart@mac.com for reschedule, rain check, refund, whatever it works for you.
Sorry this happened.
I was looking forward these days, too.

We all could see this was coming.
Just track owners and Dave tried and did their best til the very last moment and we were holding our little hope for.

So Ride Smart only has two tracks now, cresson and TWS (Texas World Speedway). Thats a profit killer for sure.

There'll be rescheduled dates for GSS and ECR.
Other GSS trackdays are still up and going.

I think Ride Smart should be allowed to run days at OHR.

Esp since I'm only 20 minutes away!

How about we put a track in your back yard and run trackdays there?

Me and my friends rode up to Eagle canyon track yesterday and it was a beautiful site. Got on the track with the bike for about 30 minutes, it was fun just learning the track and line. This track is technical and fast. Many carousel turns and 90 degree turns. I don't believe there is any "S" turn out there.

Sorry, Bud. We were lucky the it was open. We asked if we could get on the track and the guy said go ahead. He also said that we could ride it anytime that they are open.:icon_bigg

The track is not quite ready. They are building a wall right now and the track is full of dirt and gravel.

This is too bad for Ridesmart. You're right, everyone saw it coming when trackdays were planned on tracks that weren't even built yet.

I am looking forward to checking out Eagle's Canyon. If only it wasnt so far from Houston.

Track day for the tractor! :laughing6

So when can we find out when it's open? Or is it just a luck thing that it was when you were there?

It was luck that they open for other constructions besides the track. We were there once a couple of months before but it was closed. I guess that they had to try to finish the construction before the deadline that is why they are open. They might be open this weekend as well. You just have to try your luck.
My guess is the track is ready except for top coat and sealer. Right now the pit barricade is being built. No pit area/entry/exit as of now.

That's one thing that I wished I had that day. Next time, I will bring it for sure. I will be back out there in Mar 4 if it is not raining. This weekend is out since it is Chinese New Year, next week is track day.
