Advice on riding boots

This may have been asked before, so I'll apologise in advance if it has. I'm in the market for a decent set of riding boots without breaking the bank. I've narrowed it down to Sidi Vertigos and Cortech Latigo Air however, I'm wondering if anyone has any other recommendations and/or input on those boots.

So far, all I've seen is positive reviews on the Vertigos and Latigos and the few negative ones were more whiney than factual

Sidi. I even wear them all day at work when I ride. Worth every penny.

I have the Cortech Latigo Air, and have been very happy with them. Good fit and comfort. Appear to provide good protection, but fortunately haven't tested that yet. Have run a few track days in them and wear them almost every street ride.

Went to 2 wheel toyz today. I tried on the super tech r, SMX plus, vortices, st, and torque pros and I liked the alpinestars SMX plus the best. Most comfortable by far, and it looked the best/lowest profile.

It's $350 though... But has a lot more protection than the boots you're considering.

I bought Sidi B2 boots a few years ago, at $235 from Motorcycles Unlimited and they have been great. I still use them regularly, and for the price it is hard to beat the quality of the Sidi boots.

The Vertigo air are great... they breath very well. The adjustable calves are great if your legs are big, or just to loosen up while you walk around. I wear them all day at school, but leave a pair of shoes at work for those hours. They are wearable, but not ideal IMO. Oh, i put in a pair of work boot insoles... MUCH more comfy.

For me, too cold for winter. I have an older pair of non-perfed sidis that i use for winter.

Thanks for the advice, all. I've decided on the Vertigos and appreciate the input
