i think you may want to try again. i just gave an attempt as an 18 year old with 1 yr experience, 06 600rr in spring near 1960, and it came out to 507 a month

though i do pay something like 74 a year for my 02 f4i...

are you getting quoted for full coverage, or liability? huge difference in price could be coverage.

cheapest i found on insurance for full coverage, theft etc. etc.. is state farm. I'm paying 700/ year. State farm goes by cc's of the bike. I tried a farmer's agent.. even after some tweaking, it was still 1100/ year.

lol my 08 600rr was $70/mo for liability only...i was 24 at the time with a speeding ticket

the f4i wouldnt be a bad bike...cheaper in all categories and plenty fast. even with my long list of bikes i was looking into one before i decided on my sv

I am 37, clean record, married, homeowner and the bike is not considered as high risk as the rr. also have had continuous coverage since 2008. and i am paying for liability/uninsured/underinsured.

definitely try calling in to make sure, the online systems are not perfect...
