The colors on the sony were amazing. H3 was a bit dark, but the resolution looked awesome. Clearly, it has the advantage underwater... but no one here will be taking their bike underwater right?

I've been using a contour roam. It is very easy to use, simply flip the switch on the top and you're good to go. The only downside is you can't switch modes without hooking it up to a computer. The video quality is good, but the roam at least doesn't allow for remote mics. Other contour models may offer that functionality.

Isn't that what I told you. Sony. I see you finally listened. Now get Rykoson to show you how to edit. Think your making a good choice.

I'll start by doing videos to build a tire fund for 2013 race season... get your footage, shoot a lot of it, and we can chop it up..just say when... 20$ per hour towards the tires...memories for life....lol

Just use something simple like Microsoft movie maker. run it off an external drive to free up space on your computer.

Holy .... look at the gearing on that hypermotard up there! WHY would you use a rattling, vibrating, loud bike as a camera bike

Awesome idea... great for those that have the wifi stuff. I'll have to give it a shot and see how distorted it is and what the view really looks like. Definitely have to bring some wet wipes to clean the bugs often

My GoPro is mounted to the chin, slightly off center (as center as I could get an adhesive mount). It normally isn't a problem, as it's pretty close to being low enough for the bike's sheild to block it. Normal riding, It does push the helmet down in the front a bit, but barely. I RARELY go 100+, and if i do, I'm tucked that the camera is well below the screen, almost on the tank... so no neck strain. It was a little bothersom on a windy ride out to fayetteville a couple weeks ago... sitting completely upright for a long freeway trip with a strong side-wind. I have no idea how ya'll do it with the camera straight out from the side or up top.

I'm liking the image stabilization of the Sony. Carl Zeiss lens doesn't hurt either. Wifi option sounds like a good idea, if for no other reason other than being able to control from my phone.

Noticed a couple of decent deals on action cams recently:

Frys has the HD bullet cam above (seems to have similar specs to gopro minus addons) for $79

Costco has GoPro Hero2 with wifi bacpac for $199
