Ft. Bend roads to try out.

Been on Crabb River several times. Today was on Smithers lake, Lockwood and Grubbs. Not bad roads.

Gotta watch Smithers Lake. The turn in front of the plant entrance gets beaten out by semis regularly. One week it'll be fine, the next it could have an 8' long by 12" deep section of asphalt missing in the apex. Gravel from the driveway in the same turn will sneak up on you, too. A slow scouting run on that road (and any other, for that matter) is a really good idea before taking it at fun speeds.

Yeah, these are my main riding roads. Going out tomorrow unless HQ plans otherwise...agree on Smithers Lake.

Watch out for deer out there too. Them dart out from everywhere.

That is the truth. I saw about 10 of them at one time. Luckily they were staying off to the side, but I do see that as a potential threat.

Plus one on deer especially if you go into Brazos Bend park. Bambi almost got me there last year this time.

42 is a very nice road to cruise on. The roads are horrible though.
