Little nervous...

Well, in about 4 hours I'll be photographing my first wedding. Two of my good buddies are professional photographers and have been mentoring me quite a bit over the past 6 months or so... they asked me to come help them with a wedding and reception today. I'm excited, but a little nervous at the same time.

Wish me luck!

Good luck Steve. From some of the other pics I've seen from you, you'll do just fine. You seem to have a good eye

With multiple photogs at one event, it shouldn't be too hard for one of you to split off from the standard shots and take candids all day...

My brother did this (the candid guy was an apprentice to the photog) at his wedding and the pics are wonderful!

Ex: The regular photog was lining this up downstairs for the good background, but the candid guy was up on the balcony snapping a few too...

I can't wait to see what you get from the day - if they're not too sensitive about the copyright can you post a few here?

OH man... I'm whipped!!! But I had a blast and learned alot. The two guys who were the main photogs are good and really know their stuff. I was doing mostly detail shots (boquets, Unity Candle, programs, rings, flowers, runners) and candids. I did a few portraits as well, but that's not my strong point yet.

I definitely have great respect for all those who do wedding photography on a regular basis... 7 hours and 650 photos later, I'm dog tired.

Once the pictures are hosted, I'll check with the main photographers and see what I can host online. If anyone is interested, I might be able to hook you up with a MotoHouston discount.
