local Odyssey battery source needed

Anyone know where I can pick up an Odyssey battery around houston?

My 4 year old OEM battery in the versys is failing. Don't know if it will make it another day or even home.

ok, I will check out batteries plus since I am on the south side.

Thanks guys!

I'm going to get a cheap cycle gear duraboost or megaboost for the time being. Wish I had gotten one before this one started going bad....

Hoping it's the battery not the rectifier.... we will see.

Versys takes a YTX12-BS. I am about to upgrade the VFR1200 to Shorai. It's a Yuasa YTZ14S and one of Yuasa's high performance AGM batteries. It's almost exactly the same size as YTX12-BS but has higher capacity (11.2Ah vs. 10Ah) and higher CCA (230A vs. 180A). Honda doesn't kid around spec'ing stuff for the big Viffer. It's a $150 battery you can have for $50, if you want. It'll spin your 650cc twin like a top.

Check here: http://www.yuasabatteries.com/pdfs/2...apps_specs.pdf

PM if interested.

I just got the Shorai charger, so I'm standardizing all my bikes.

Yap. I actually already have a LFX18A1-BS12 in the SV and it spins that litre twin just fine. I found that the SV has room for Shorai's larger case LFX21A6-BS12, so I'll be ordering that for the SV and move the 18A1 to the VFR.

Check with Bill at WWH.
