oh man!!! sorry to hear.

I am always afraid of that! I carry my wallet in my left back pocket. Not very safe. Thinking on getting one of those wallets with a chain.

lost my wallet and phone on the way to work one morning. i rode home and then back to work looking in the area i was riding in (retraced my steps). i remember tucking under my windcreen and started hauling which gave me an idea of where it might have been because when i did that my zipper on my jacket pocket busted and thats where i kept my wallet and phone. sure enough not to far from where i did that i saw my wallet and my phone in the hov lanes of I-10.

cancel all credit cards, get a new bank card with different number on it, moniter all accounts for the next few months to be on the safe side...whatever cash and the cost of the wallet, just chalk it up to bike life

also since youre entire wallet is gone, check your credit report since people could open on your name....also if you have a nice house i would be more vilgialant just because people could try to break in your place...so be more alert

and it's not crackheads that you have to worry about...lets hope the crackhead just takes the cash and throws away the wallet because sometimes they sell the stuff to black market thieves so that's why i'm being so dire....

i would try retracing my steps and going over that same spot a few times, probably would be better to take a car and bring people with you...extra eyes to spot out the wallet...at this point it's not about saving cash or money but your identity

I've never lost a wallet out of the back pocket. How could it come out if you are sitting on it?

Now I've put things in my front pocket of my jacket and lost a phone and a wallet on seperate occations.

It happens. 2 weeks ago my son lost his wallet at the grocery store. He noticed he didn't have it on the way home and went back to look for it, with no luck.

When he got home it was there with a note & ph # from the person that found it, in the parking lot. All CC & cash still in wallet.
