Cool spots around town, for pics...

I need info, on some places around town, that would be a nice background, to do a photo shoot of my Custom trucks & Bike, So if anybody knows of any, or has used a cool spot, please post them up! Thanks

Not sure what its called but right across 59 on the other side of Minute Maid Park...very industrial area with some hipster flair lol. There have been several car meets in that area and I never knew about it.

There's a waterwall in Medical Center where you could pull a bike on the sidewalk in front if security guards don't chase you off(Do it Ninja style). Would be a breeze after dark.

Rodeo Palms on 288 in Pearland has a cool palm tree water fall i took pictures at before. Also a good night shot over on nasa road 1 and egret bay area wheree the water fall is. They have a side walk you can pull up on and get the bike in front of it. Be a great night shot.

A gritty photo could be taken east downtown near enron field and just north of it by saint arnolds

hipster photo could be taken a taxi taxi in the montrose, the whole outside of their building is graffiti and changed regularly

waterfront spots? there's waterfalls in the medical center and there's a big wallfall outside the williams tower by the galleria mall(the big sky scraper next to the galleria mall)

parks wise? herman park which has the zoo just north of the medical center and discovery green park downtown next to george r brown

Thats some Nice photography no pun intended. But you brought a valid point to this. With the right eye, lighting and staging there are lots of places that would work. Good job.

There's a lot just north of Minute Maid, facing 59, which is painted in 1/2 Sun Drop, other 1/2 Big Red.

Discovery green downtown has a play fountain you can pull up next to.

early in the day there is usually no one there.

Get yourself a Promote camera remote. It takes several photos almost instantly and does some crazy sophisticated things like focus stacking and bulb ramping and stitches them together and the result is a perfect photo both in the light and shade, at night and directly into the sun:

Eh, HDR is great when it's NEEDED... but it's too often used just to stylize.
But I'm guilty too.
I've never used a special remote... just the bracketing feature on a D90/D40. GOtta look into it... but it's expensive.

lol, besides, I can get near the same look using the highlight/shadow tool in photoshop. Good enough for me, considering it isn't a job and they aren't for sale.

If you're not so much into photography... true. But you can't do this with highlight:
