Definately will have to change out the brakes and wheels. I think the easiest way is to buy the motard kits from some of the online vendors, includes brakes, wheels, spacers, etc. It will easily run you 1k though. :(

if you're on a budget, relace your stock hubs to 17" hoops using HD spokes. you'll probably need a catch can depending on the racing organization. An oversized front rotor will be a big plus for stopping that bad boy. If it was my ride i would invest in some axle sliders and good handguards too.

I've heard good things about their wheel/rotor packages, LMK when your done with your 21'' front rim. I know a guy lookin to sell a 14oz flywheel weight off an 01 CR250, is a bit heavy for what I'm lookin for.

I got your PM, waitting to hear back for Timmy. I don't like giving other folks #'s without asking first. Stand by. Timmy did the 250 last year, probably has some good advice to give you as well as some wheels to sell.

Thank you, I completely understand about not wanting to give out other peoples info. We need to learn all the tips and tricks as we can.

On another note:
Have you seen an early 80's rd250 (#68 in my sig) buzzing around the track lately? I'm trying to get my dads old racebike back in the family:icon_bigg
