windy Ft. Bend...

MH,

I rode the loop from Sugar Land around Brazos Bend park, to Rosharon (pix on break) on 1462, then 521 north to six and home. On 1462 I hit some gusty winds that were plain nasty. The Guzzi tracks well, but one gust just about flipped me into the oncoming lane--pucker.

In the same vicinity, twice I was passed by a black, very fast sport bike, very loud, no front light, no license plate I could see. The second time he looked back to figure out who or what I was. I am quarter fast, so forget about an impromptu race on public roads. My guess is he had a track bike out for a play.

High wind riding fatigues me. I only did about 80 miles, but came back bushed. Of course the uber-constipated Hwy 6 in Sugar Land does not help when the last couple miles take 20 minutes. My hands are sore. Lee Park gloves are going to be ordered soon. Or the Held's? Sure wish I could try some on. I guess if I don't like them, I can send them back.

Lots of riders were out today. Sure was a beauty despite the wind.

Stay safe!
