Wow is all I can say about these comments. Just like any brand they have a good better best option. And then there is top brands. U can get a cheap icon helmet or an expensive one. one that has OK quality to to one with more features. u see shark shoie aria avg and so on helmets at the track because u guessed they are sponsored by those helmets. Yes there are better helmets then icon. But guess What all helmets have to pass testing. if u want to get an icon get one don't let people on here tell you What to buy with your money.

Best example I can think of u can get a Chevy that is 5 star crash test rated or a BMW that is 5 star crash test rated u can pay 20k for tge chevy or 60k for the bmw . They both will get u to where your going safely. but one will get u there in class tge other not so much.

Honestly I have an icon helmet. Got it for a $100 bucks brand new by being in the right place at the right time. It's comfortable too and feels sturdy. I've also owned KBC and HJC. Both good helmets and dumped my bike back in 99' at 85. Was wearing the KBC at the time and saved my . Face planted into the concrete. I wish I would have kept that helmet. Overall I haven't had issues with mine. If money is tight you can't go wrong and it's a of a lot better than not having one at all like some retards out there.

Read the reviews on the new airmada...I was actually impressed, 4 shell sizes, they say the best ventilation period, intermidiate oval shape, dot and world standard, shield lock, stable at speed...sounds good. The most important thing is buy a helmet that fits your head, go try some different helmets, see what brand feels right. Just remember most of these guys posting on here probly have a whole closet of affliction t-shirts.Educate yourself and make up your own mind.

you do not have to buy the most expensive helmet out there to have good protection... the standards are the same for all... if it passed the tests and bears the rating you want is the thing to look at...get a helmet that fits your head correctly...different models within the same brand will fit a bit different... go to our sponsors and try the helmets that you like for fit and feel...wear them for a few minuts not just slip them on...my personal favorite helmet is the bell star and the bell moto 9 , more expensive than what you are asking about but much cheaper than some of the other helmets mentioned...and our local sponsors will usually match any price you see on line...get the one that feels best on your head...i usually do not care for the graphics that others seem to like, i prefer a more plain look which saves me money because the same model in graphics costs more than the plain finish...same protection, less money

Jackets are a lot better. It was the first helmet I bought and after I bought shoei, rpha 10 and bell I never looked back. I'd pay a lil more and get somthing better!
