Blanket, towel, change of clothes. Fold blanket in 1/2 to make sleeping bag, roll towel for pillow.

Just some food for thought...ride into galveston and stop at the large goodwill on the seawall and pick up a comforter/large blanket. Fold it in 3 longways and then roll it up tight like a sleeping bag and secure with a belt or rope. Use blanket as your base pad/cushion/insulation and then drop it back at goodwill on your way out. Doing so will allow you to make 98% of your commute without the hassle of a bed roll. Another smart option is a cheap foam exercise mat from Marshalls or Ross on the island. I spent almost a year without a steady/constant roof over my head when I was 18, I know how to sleep comfortably without much $$.

I'm sure you can find some friendly Harley guy that will let you share his bed.

You just have to work it!
