Parking downtown for bikes?

I have to run down to the family courthouse this afternoon.

I am simply filing some papers. It shouldnt take me more than 15 minutes.

Is there any bike parking down there? I dont mind walking a few blocks.

I parked at the Islamic building down the street for about $10 but it is gated, small, and attendant on duty. Have fun......

Search the forums for "jury duty". There's a semi-secret place between 2 building where everybody parks around like Franklin and Austin streets.

Hold on. I was actually thinking of a thread on TWT. Check out this link.

http://www.twtex.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18821

There's more specific info in the thread, but here's the summary:
Park on the concrete walkway between the new criminal justice center (14+- story yellow-ish building) and the "old jail" or Harris County Sherriff's Office building. The overhead walkway from the old jail to the courthouse provides shelter from the elements. The nearest intersection is Franklin @ Caroline. Enter from the Commerce street side, NOT the Franklin St side. You'll see several bikes parked there already. Mostly deputies, but they don't seem to mind others.

Its at Franklin and Caroline street, its little all that says no vehicles, but tons of bikes there.

True. I'll never pay that $6 again unless the weather is REALLY bad when I have to go down there.

guard wise no but the parking lot has gates and there's two bikes that park there everyday. I would be watching it on the camera myself from my office, phone or home even.

Sorry to bring up an old thread...but do parking garages offer discount for bikes for monthly contract parking?

Office is moving to downtown...not sure where to park the bike.

Some do, some don't. Just find a place you can sneak in and out of. Do you know what part of Downtown you're moving to?

on fannin st corner of Lamar.

Not sure the # of building yet.

But I called 2 places and they do not offer moto parking.

I would hate to pay $150-$205.00 a month for parking :(
