half helmet

im looking for a new helmet a half helmet or german type helmet. the ones i've tried on fit real high on my head like its a bicycle helmet. anyone know a half helmet that fits lower on your head?

Yes but none of them will be DOT certified. Only the 'Novelty' helmets you buy will sit down low, i have had both kinds

if you saw the percentages for the most smashed up part of the head during a crash you would be looking at full faced lids.
cool german helmets dont do squat for protection anywhere, much less the face and jaw where your most likely gonna grind some.

thats why i said, pretty much useless, but totalling 8% if you add up all the 1/4s and the very top of your head.
