NOLA.... where to stay Sunday night?

I'm going to NOLA this weekend with trailer in tow.

I wanted to stay somewhere downtown Sunday night, but finding a place to park my truck with trailer has been a task.

Anybody know a place to stay Sunday night that would be walking distance to the french quarter and a secure parking area that can handle a truck with trailer?

Why not just leave the trailer at the track? I've been there 3 times and security is prudent and I don't think anyone would mess with your stuff anyway.

That might be tough. Seems like lots of the nice hotel valets just contract out surface lots. I've self parked in a hotel garage near the French quarter and the spots were tiny with support posts all over the place and nowhere for a truck with trailer.

marriot is a possibility, but you should be able to go in monday and get it, i know the facility manager and the lead mechanic personally and they will be there. you should have no problem getting it, just call and ask to make sure, those guys are super friendly.and thier security is top notch.

TA left his trailer at the track a whole week. I think it was at the gate just across from security.

that is also an option, there is parking on the grounds, but outside of the "gates" that is also scurity patrolled.

the track would probably allow you to keep it there overnight. I would not try to bring it downtown and leave it overnight. Monday starts normal parking rules and you might get it towed or parking tickets.

Although I'm about an hour from the track, if you get in a bind, let me know and we can find room at my new place to store the trailer.

Thanks guys. I called and talked to track management today, and they said I could leave the trailer at ther track and pick iy up Monday on our way back to Houston.

Looking forward to staying in one of the haunted hotels in the french quarter...... just won't tell the kids that it is haunted until on the way home.
